The Team:

Dr. Maria Petrosino specializes in treating children, adults, and older adults who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, stress management, and work related stressors. She has extensive experience working with men and women, couples, and individuals. She provides executive coaching services as well as services related to legal issues (trial consultation, mediation and expert services and also does psychological testing).

She specializes in treating children, adults, families and couples in a variety of settings. She provides therapy for grief and loss issues related to terminal illness, as well as teaching coping strategies to immigrant populations who may be experiencing difficulties with acculturation. She has had extensive experience working with children and adolescents who are considered to be "at risk" for substance abuse, teen pregnancy and gang involvement.

In addition, she is very knowledgeable with juvenile dependency, foster care and the court mandated reunification process. She has experience working with the elderly population and their families who are suffering Alzheimer's or other dementia. Moreover, she has experience working with the chronically mentally ill population who may often have a dual diagnosis. Her particular areas of interest are psychodiagnostic testing and psychopharmacology. She plans to begin teaching at National University and University of Phoenix. 

Dr. Gonzales-San Pedro is currently on leave from practice while she completes her State Board examinations for licensure.
